having a frustrating month on paradise poker league, not with my play but the amount of games i can get to play why do people always want things done on these nights lol.

Also avoided divorce thankfully because of the fact betfair has changed the format for the maxim king of poker.Instead of the games every night like last time its cut down to 2 a week and i got through to to the monthly final on my 2nd attempt so the pressures off, but its great to see the familiar faces from vc days entering it again.

i have had some success on paradise with satellite rebuys but i've found i can enter late play tight and qualify for a little amount and just let the all in merchants battle it out to the first break then loosen up - just need to play better in the finals lol who knows one day i might win!
Still waiting for the dartford poker tourney to restart-just finding it hard to get a date when we are all free.Can't complain though i'm still holding the monthly trophy

The Paradise Poker League

Had a good result in February's poker league on paradise finishing third in the league for $300 my biggest winning amount so far, and although i missed quite a few games in the march league i thought i had done enough to finish in the money again needing two top 20 finishes out of the last three games in order to get 5 scores on the board. The last game I played and reached 13th which i thought would be enough so I went wreckless and tried doubling up my chip stack when in reality i didn't need to and ended up finishing in that position only to be nudged out into 21st in the league by 1 point to a fellow punters lounger.Looking forward to Aprils round and i wont be so complacent this time especially with so many good players from punters lounge playing.

Played the final 3 games of the Dartford poker tourney and i was determined to make these count, i couldn't be the only one out of the five not to win the monthly trophy!The 1st game didnt go as planned and i went out 3rd, the only good thing was that teazz went 4th giving us hope that his lead could be caught.

Result game 13/15

1st 'Sniffer' Alan 60pts, 2nd 'Sammy' Martin 40pts, 3rd Daveygh 30pts, 4th 'Teazz' Kev 20pts, 5th 'Spielman' Alf 10pts

1st Teazz - 480pts

2nd Spielman - 420pts

The second game 14/15 I managed to get to the heads up with Teazz but he got the better of me and by doing so secured his overall victory but still made it a good fight for the other positions and kept my chances of winning the monthly trophy alive.

Result 1st - 'Teazz' 60pts, 2nd 'Daveygh' 40pts, 3rd 'Spielman' 30pts, 'Sammy' 20pts, 'Sniffer' 10pts.

League after 14/15

1st Teazz - 540

2nd Spielman - 450

3rd Daveygh - 4504th Sniffer - 420

5th Sammey - 380

With my pride and the chance to take 2nd position to play for we played the final game, and again it came down to heads up with teazz and thankfully it was my turn to win it and in doing so put me 10 points clear of teazz to take the monthly trophy.

Result - 1st 'Daveygh' 60pts, 2nd 'Teazz' 40pts, 3rd 'Sammy' 30pts, 'Spielman' 20pts, 'Sniffer' 10pts.

dartford poker tour

Between five of us (left to right Teazz ,Alfie spielman ,Alan 'sniffer' Clarke, myself and Martin 'Sammy' )we setup the dartford poker tour with a monthly trophy and an overall winner trophy.The last 3 months have all had different winners so i was hoping this month would be mine.The 4th round of the DPT took place on the 30th of December and unbelievably there was a different overall winner and yet again not me . As it was the Xmas week and it was hosted by 'sniffer in New Barn we decided that suitable attire would be required. It seemed whoever hosted the event was cursed by getting low points and this was no exception with 'sniffer' Alan gaining just 60 points. After his win last time out Martin 'Sammy' managed just 40 points. I managed to draw 110 points with Teazz. With one win on the night a 3rd & 4th Teazz maintained his overall league position with one event still to go. 'Spielman' Alfie decided it was his turn to win . He secured two wins and a second place for 160 points on the night.

with it all to play for (and the shame of being the only one to not win the monthly trophy) here's hoping for January to be my lucky month

i have been considering a blog for a long time but i find the hardest thing to do is talk about myself, but here goes.
I have always been interested in playing cards online and originally started with crib,after a while i got pretty good at it and ended up winning a couple of tourneys but then i got introduced to Texas hold em via the maxim king of poker tourney and as my wife keeps telling me it seems to have taken up all my spare time lol.
unfortunately for me i started the maxim tourney half way through so the qualifying position was out of my reach but with a bit of blagging from an acquaintance in the maxim office i got to go to the final as a spectator, and it was good to see the faces that belonged to the names online.
